Velocette Studio office design kept the kitchen low to ensure the best view through the entire interior space!
Velocette Studio immediately found beauty in the existing low beams that flew through the space and decided to revolve the entire design around them. Gritty terra-cotta wrapped beams were washed with up light which softened their look and warmed the space. Dark wood tones, plush seating, long tendril plants, and vintage wallpaper adorned with organic patterns decorate the office and serve as a counterbalance to the heavy distressed beams above. Ultimately, preserving the original beam finish physically echoed Houwzer’s guiding principle: honesty. To express transparency Velocette Studio created an office that was completely open. The long beams draw your view through the entire office. From front to back they fly over reception, a low counter height kitchen, central lounge, and conference rooms. The consistent high-low rhythm and repetition of the beams emphasized reliability and inspired dramatic rooming organized within a symmetrical floor plan. In the end, Velocette Studio’s design projects the high level of expertise that Houwzer holds dear.
